The recent change of the usual examination dates, from a start date of mid-April to mid July, has caused quite a stir throughout the Bahamas. The Ministry of Education sites the threat of Covid-19 as the reason for the delay of National Examinations (namely BJC and BGCSE). They contend, there was never an announcement for complete cancellation, so students should have been aware that a new date for testing was very possible. As a student, or parent of a student, what are your views regarding the new testing dates? Do you think the extra study time can serve as an advantage? Or, do you think the lack of in-school-classes has been a detriment to the education of the students; and now that exams are set, students will lack the knowledge needed to obtain a passing grade?
